Breckenridge-Wahpeton Blades' standout Kayla Knudsen has been selected to the North Dakota class A Girls Hockey all-state team. Knudsen, a senior from Wahpeton High School, ranked third in the state with 36 goals during the past season. In January against Hazen at the Sterns Sports Arena, she scored all seven Blades' goals in a 7-1 victory.  Four of the goals came in a span of 83 seconds in the first period.  "Kayla is a total hockey player.  She always gives 110 percent," said Breckenridge-Wahpeton coach Bob Lehn. "She is a perfect role model.  The whole team jumps up a level when they are playing at her caliber."  At  the state tournament Knudsen scored seven goals in the three games to help the Blades to the consolation championship.  Knudsen has represented the hockey association and the Twin Towns very well, Lehn said.  She is also an excellent student, he added.  "She's one of the top players to come out of the program, either boys or girls," Lehn said.  "When you think of hockey here you think of Kayla...  She's worked hard all the way through.  " Class A Girls Hockey All-State Team Forward/Center/Wing- Amy Currier, Fargo North; Jenna Olmstad, Fargo South; Emily Sell, Williston; Katie O'Leary Fargo North; Maggie Toft, Fargo South; Jade Schirado, Bismarck; Kayla Knudsen, Breckenridge-Wahpeton Defense- Ali Rood, Grand Forks; Ashley Buerkley, Fargo North; Kari Leftwich, Bismarck; Erin Schlossman, Fargo South Goalie- Meghan Scheibe, Fargo South; Jenny Valler,Grand Forks
